1708 Biaxial Fiberglass Cloth 45/45 50" Wide

1708 Biaxial Cloth is an ideal glass for tabbing, reinforcements, and other repairs, and it conforms well to contours. Flat, non-crimped fibers result in less print-through and greater stiffness than woven fabrics.

 

A .75 ounce chopped strand mat is stitched to the back of a 17-ounce roving without styrene binders, making it suitable for use with epoxy** and polyester resins.

 

Please note that I DO NOT recommend using epoxy resin with 1708. The .75oz chopped strand mat will make this product much more complicated to wet out, and in most cases, the chopped strand mat is not necessary when using epoxy resin. I would HIGHLY suggest using 1700 Biaxial instead when using epoxy laminating resin. The addition of the .75oz chopped strand mat will absorb about 30% more epoxy resin, resulting in a heavier and more brittle laminate.
